Zcash is showing an interesting split right now, shielded network activity keeps climbing while the price refuses to give up its technical footing. Data from the ZecHub dashboard shows cumulative shielded transactions across Sapling and Orchard have surpassed 3.29 million, while Zcash is trading around $493 above its 200 day EMA and holding a rising trendline.

Sapling Still Leads, But Orchard Is Catching

Sapling remains the dominant pool by cumulative activity, recording 2,070,024 transactions, or 1,764,256 after spam filtering. Its advantage is not surprising given the much earlier start shown on the dashboard with activity beginning around block height 419,328.

Orchard, however, has been catching up quickly. Introduced around block height 1,725,696 during the NU5 upgrade, Orchard has accumulated 1,221,009 transactions, including 1,105,478 after spam filtering. That’s already more than half of Sapling’s cumulative total despite arriving much later.

The trajectory matters. Orchard’s activity initially jumped sharply before settling into a steady upward climb.

Spam Filtering Shows A Clear Difference

The raw numbers also reveal that not all activity carries the same weight. Sapling has a 305,768 transaction gap between its unfiltered and filtered totals, representing roughly, 14.8% of cumulative activity.

Orchard’s gap is considerably smaller at 115,531 transactions, or about 9.5%. Based on the dashboard data, that points to a lower relative impact from spam on Orchard activity.

Across both pools, filtered shielded transactions still total roughly 2.87 million, suggesting usage of Zcash’s privacy features rather than a network driven purely by noisy activity.

Zcash Price Is Refusing To Lose Support

The ZEC price chart adds another reason to keep watching. Zcash is holding above its 200 day EMA while respecting a rising trendline, with the current price around $493.

That’s where the bullish argument gets interesting. If demand accelerates, the nearest resistance sits around $550. A decisive move above that level could put $636 and potentially $740 on the radar, although those higher targets depend on continued bullish conditions.

For now, the combination of rising shielded activity and firm price structure makes Zcash price one to watch closely. The network is expanding its transaction footprint, while the token is still holding the technical structure needed for a potential move higher.
